ZDNet Korea published an interview with Yuk Keun-sik, director of HR business operations at Genesislab, exploring how the AI video interview solution ViewinterHR evaluates candidates and what’s new in version 2.0.
Yuk explained that AI can objectively analyze multiple dimensions of candidates that don’t appear in resumes or escape human notice. ViewinterHR combines human expertise with machine learning, using subject matter experts to train the AI system, which then analyzes both verbal responses and video separately to ensure objectivity and consistency.
The newly released 2.0 version features an AI human interviewer trained on actual broadcast journalists. This system matches facial expressions and movements to candidate responses and generates follow-up questions dynamically.
Genesislab has secured roughly 150 clients, including seven LG subsidiaries, Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Department Store Group, and Seoul National University Hospital. The company has attracted approximately 22 billion won in cumulative investment and targets 10 billion won in revenue for the following year.
