Genesislab was featured in the tenth installment of The Elec’s “ESG Startup in Seongsu” series, which highlights AI, AR, robotics, fintech, and biotech startups with innovative ideas and strong competitive advantage supported by Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu.
Genesislab is a seven-year-old AI startup founded with the vision “to improve human quality of life through AI technology.” The company operates three commercial services based on proprietary deep learning technology for analyzing and generating human video and audio: ViewinterHR (video interview evaluation), Dr.Listen (mental health assessment), and JuCi (video content platform). The company holds approximately 60 domestic and international patents.
The founders explained that the company’s inception stemmed from exposure to AI during work at Toslab and years of image processing research at KAIST. By applying facial recognition technology to deep learning and combining it with content analysis and video analysis, the team created ViewinterHR and entered the current business.
This year, despite global economic headwinds, the company doubled collaboration partners and significantly increased new client acquisitions. Genesislab continues research and development guided by the Ministry of Science and ICT’s trustworthy AI development standards and became the first in its industry to receive AI algorithm reliability verification from the Korean Information and Communications Technology Association (TTA).
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand into additional sectors beyond HR, healthcare, and entertainment based on its Expert AI platform, while continuously launching new services.
