According to The Bell, Korea Investment Partners (KIP) has led a follow-on investment in Genesislab three years after first backing the company in 2022. The round is a Series B bridge. KIP's cumulative check, combining primary and secondary, now stands at roughly KRW 10 billion. Genesislab's total funding to date is around KRW 20 billion, and the current round targets roughly KRW 8 billion in aggregate.
Genesislab's core product, the AI video-interview solution ViewinterHR, is deployed at about 100 enterprises and public institutions including Hyundai Motor, LG U+, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The company holds 36 granted patents, 41 pending applications, and 8 published papers, and in 2024 it received Korea's CAT (AI Trustworthiness) certification from the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The Bell frames education as the driver behind this follow-on. Genesislab already supplies student diagnostics and career prediction and recommendation services to the Gyeonggi, Gyeongnam, and Gangwon Offices of Education, with a 2025 target of KRW 2 billion in education revenue. The extension from hiring into employee assessment was also cited.
