Digital Daily’s experiential content series PLAY IT published a firsthand account of testing Genesislab’s ViewInterHR 2.0 AI interview solution.
The reporter completed an AI interview spanning approximately one hour and 25 questions. The AI human interviewer was modeled after a Korea Economic TV news anchor and created a natural interview atmosphere through eye blinking and nodding gestures that mimicked real human interaction.
The assessment results presented BEI-based job competencies (such as digital thinking ability and entrepreneurial leadership) alongside soft-skills evaluations. The reporter received a composite score of 80.1 points, with detailed feedback indicating that responses featuring specific examples and clear narrative structure received higher marks, while responses containing repetitive language scored lower.
Limitations also emerged in the coverage. The AI interviewer’s intonation felt monotonous, and its continued nodding even when the candidate paused created awkward moments. Questions about transparency in AI evaluation criteria persist. However, according to Department of Labor data, 15.9% of the top 500 companies by revenue already employ AI interviews in hiring, suggesting that adoption momentum has taken hold independently of ongoing technical concerns.
